Scott Pritchett
Board President

Scott Pritchett has been in the banking industry for over 10 years. He is an assistant vice president with M & I Bank. Scott is a graduate of the University of Central Florida where he earned a bachelor's degree in finance.

Having earned the Eagle Scout award at 14, Scott has been an avid scouter. He has been an Assistant Scout Master, Scout Master, Troop Committee Chairman, and is currently a Merit Badge Councilor for the Central Florida Council of The Boy Scouts of America.

At the age of 19, Scott served a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in the Queretaro, Mexico Mission where he learned to speak Spanish fluently. He has served in many leadership positions and currently serves as the Elder's Quorum President of the University Park Ward in Orlando. Scott and his wife, Julieanne, have two children.


Harold "Harry" Barley
Board Vice President

Harold "Harry" Barley is Executive Director of METROPLAN ORLANDO. This organization is responsible for transportation planning in Orange, Seminole and Osceola Counties. Harry has worked in the transportation industry for 30 years. Most of his experience was building the Metro system in the Washington, D.C. area with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. He's also worked on regional transportation projects in the Republic of China and Athens, Greece.

He earned his Bachelor's degree from the State University of New York and did his graduate work in City and Regional Planning at the Catholic University of America. He also is a graduate of the Management Program at the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College.

Harry is currently the Chairman of Florida's 26 Metropolitan Planning Organizations and the Chairman of the Winter Park Community Redevelopment Agency Advisory Board.


Paulette Z. Geller
Board Member

Paulette Z. Geller, is a nationally recognized pioneer in the development of community-based services for older adults. Formerly the Program Director of Older Adults Programs for the Winter Park Health Foundation (1995-2007), Paulette was also the Director of Day Services for the Jewish Home of Rochester, New York, where she became a nationally recognized leader in the field of adult day services.

Champion for bringing the "Pioneers for Culture Change in Long-Term Care" to Florida and coordinator for implementation of the AdvantAge Initiative for Orange County, Paulette's current projects include the redesign of the system providing long-term care services to older adults, two major innovative transportation programs, and a series of projects focused on civic engagement. Professional affiliations include membership on the governing council of the American Society on Aging's Forum on Spirituality Religion and Aging; former Chairperson of the Senior Resource Alliance Advisory Committee and chair for its Access to Benefits Coalition; advisor to the Orange County Commission on Aging; member of the Mayor of Orlando's Committee on Older Adults; and on boards of Orange East Rotary and Congregation Ohev Shalom.


Margaret Sanders
Board Member

Margaret Sanders' philanthropic background includes service as a community volunteer, advocate, trainer and consultant. She has promoted effective grantmaking and worked in the areas of community needs assessments, effective governance, and program design and development. Formerly a senior program manager at the Rollins College Philanthropy Center, Ms. Sanders has founded and/or served as board member and volunteer for various types of nonprofits including grantmaking organizations. She has also served on local government boards. Ms. Sanders is a graduate of Lawrence University, Appleton, Wisconsin.


Fran Carlin-Rogers
Board Member

Fran Carlin-Rogers, President, is a consultant on senior transportation issues. She is a nationally recognized expert in the area of at-risk drivers, with particular emphasis on driving and dementia, driver and vehicle assessment, senior mobility counseling, and transportation alternatives. Fran works with communities to help develop innovative programs, education, and resources for senior mobility. She is a popular presenter with consumer and professional audiences across the nation.

With more than 25 years of professional experience in community services and healthcare, Fran has been actively involved with diverse local, state and national organizations focusing on policy, advocacy and development of programs for seniors and has served in many leadership capacities. She was a delegate to the last two White House Conferences on Aging in 2005 and 1995.


Harold Downing
Board Member

Harold "Hal" L. Downing is an attorney in Winter Park, Florida, practicing primarily in the area of real estate law with the firm of Winderweedle, Haines, Ward & Woodman, P.A. A 1979 graduate of the Vanderbilt University School of Law, Hal has been a member of the City of Orlando's Child Daycare Taskforce and the Downtown Orlando Partnership (a special events organization). He was an integral part of the successful effort that made Orlando a venue for World Cup Soccer in 1994; he also researched, compiled and wrote the three-volume bid submission and organized and hosted two international visits from FIFA (the international governing body for "football") during the selection process. He served for nine years on the board of directors of the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival and chaired the event in 1998.

He later served on the board of directors of the Orange County Historical Society and was directly responsible for administering the Orange County Regional History Center's collection. Hal is married and is an avid cyclist.


Maria Dent Edward Haddad
Board Member

Mr. Haddad is currently Executive Director of the state of Florida Academy of Sciences headquartered in Orlando, FL. The Academy, founded in1936, is one of 44 state science academies in the U.S. The Florida Academy, a 501 c3 corporation, represents and advocates for all branches of science in the state. Mr. Haddad has been its Executive Director since 2005. He is also employed by the University of Central Florida Medical School working in student education.

Mr. Haddad is a former Nuclear Engineering Manager with a major aerospace corporation. He moved to central Florida in 1997 and became a management and procedural development consultant. His focus is on planning (strategic and action), procedures, and management development and activity.

He has served as U.S. Homeland Security Volunteer Coordinator for RSVP (Retired and Senior Volunteer Program) of Orange County, developing and implementing programs and training. He was employed by the City of Orlando to reactivate its Senior Links Program and serve as its Facilitator.

Mr. Haddad is Past-President and a current Director of the Learning Institute for Elders (LIFE) at University of Central Florida. . He has also been a member of the National Advisory Board for "Grand" magazine. He has been active in work with churches to reach out to the elder population in the Orlando area.

Thaddeus Seymour
Board Member

Thaddeus Seymour is Professor Emeritus of English at Rollins College, where he was its twelfth president, serving from 1978 to 1990. Previously he was President of Wabash College in Indiana and Dean of the College at Dartmouth in New Hampshire.

Seymour organized a planning program to prepare for the 1985 Centennial of Rollins. Major grants and national recognition soon followed, as the College was cited by TIME magazine as "a small college on the move" and by U.S. News & World Report as one of the ten best comprehensive small colleges in the country.

Chairman of the local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity, Seymour served nine years on the Board of the Winter Park Public Library, which he chaired from 1996-98. He served on the Board of the Winter Park Health Foundation and chaired its Committee for Older Adults for five years. Other board service includes ten years as Chairman of B.E.T.A., a helping service for women and children, and Chairman of the Community Advisory Committee for the Zora Neale Hurston Festival.

In 1997 he and his wife Polly were recognized by the Chamber of Commerce as Winter Park Citizens of the Year.

The Seymours have five children and eleven grandchildren.


Gene Sullivan

Gene Sullivan is a retired consultant and former Hong Kong Tourist Board Chief Executive based in Hong Kong. He previously worked abroad in marketing and management for Borden International and Coca-Cola. Gene is a graduate of Rollins College and received an MBA from the Thunderbird Graduate School of International Management.
