
Fran Carlin-Rogers
President
Fran Carlin-Rogers, President, is a consultant on senior transportation issues. She is a nationally recognized expert in the area of at-risk drivers, with particular emphasis on driving and dementia, driver and vehicle assessment, senior mobility counseling, and transportation alternatives. Fran works with communities to help develop innovative programs, education, and resources for senior mobility. She is a popular presenter with consumer and professional audiences across the nation.
With more than 25 years of professional experience in community services and healthcare, Fran has been actively involved with diverse local, state and national organizations focusing on policy, advocacy and development of programs for seniors and has served in many leadership capacities. She was a delegate to the last two White House Conferences on Aging in 2005 and 1995.
Harold "Hal" L. Downing
Vice President
Harold "Hal" L. Downing, Vice President, is an attorney in Winter Park, Florida, practicing primarily in the area of real estate law with the firm of Winderweedle, Haines, Ward & Woodman, P.A. A 1979 graduate of Vanderbilt University School of Law, Hal has been a member of the City of Orlando's Child Daycare Taskforce and the Downtown Orlando Partnership (a special events organization). He was an integral part of the successful effort that made Orlando a venue for World Cup Soccer in 1994; he also researched, compiled and wrote the three-volume bid submission and organized and hosted two international visits from FIFA (the international governing body for "football") during the selection process. He served for nine years on the board of directors of the Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival and chaired the event in 1998.
He later served on the board of directors of the Orange County Historical Society and was directly responsible for administering the Orange County Regional History Center's collection. Hal is married and is an avid cyclist.
Paulette Z. Geller
Secretary
Paulette Z. Geller, Secretary, is a nationally recognized pioneer in the development of community-based services for older adults. Formerly the Program Director of Older Adults Programs for the Winter Park Health Foundation (1995-2007), Paulette was also the Director of Day Services for the Jewish Home of Rochester, New York, where she became a nationally recognized leader in the field of adult day services.
Champion for bringing the "Pioneers for Culture Change in Long-Term Care" to Florida and coordinator for implementation of the AdvantAge Initiative for Orange County, Paulette's current projects include the redesign of the system providing long-term care services to older adults, two major innovative transportation programs, and a series of projects focused on civic engagement. Professional affiliations include membership on the governing council of the American Society on Aging's Forum on Spirituality Religion and Aging; former Chairperson of the Senior Resource Alliance Advisory Committee and chair for its Access to Benefits Coalition; advisor to the Orange County Commission on Aging; member of the Mayor of Orlando's Committee on Older Adults; and on boards of Orange East Rotary and Congregation Ohev Shalom.
Scott Pritchett

Scott Pritchett has been in the banking industry for over 10 years. He is an assistant vice president with M & I Bank. Scott is a graduate of the University of Central Florida where he earned a bachelor’s degree in finance.
Having earned the Eagle Scout award at 14, Scott has been an avid scouter. He has been an Assistant Scout Master, Scout Master, Troop Committee Chairman, and is currently a Merit Badge Councilor for the Central Florida Council of The Boy Scouts of America.
At the age of 19, Scott served a two year mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, in the Queretaro, Mexico Mission where he learned to speak Spanish fluently. He has served in many leadership positions and currently serves as the Elder’s Quorum President of the University Park Ward in Orlando. Scott and his wife, Julieanne, have two children.
Harold "Harry" Barley

Harold "Harry" Barley is Executive Director of METROPLAN ORLANDO. This organization is responsible for transportation planning in Orange, Seminole and Osceola Counties. Harry has worked in the transportation industry for 30 years. Most of his experience was building the Metro system in the Washington, D.C. area with the Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority. He's also worked on regional transportation projects in the Republic of China and Athens, Greece.
He earned his Bachelor's degree from the State University of New York and did his graduate work in City and Regional Planning at the Catholic University of America. He also is a graduate of the Management Program at the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College.
Harry is currently the Chairman of Florida's 26 Metropolitan Planning Organizations and the Chairman of the Winter Park Community Redevelopment Agency Advisory Board.

Russ Hauck

Russ Hauck is executive director of the National Center for Simulation (NCS), a non-profit organization that represents the modeling, simulation, and training industry. He has degrees from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, and from George Washington University. He has taught at Daytona Beach Community College, Webster University, and the University of Central Florida. Russ served eight years on active duty with the Navy and another 18½ years in the active Navy Reserve, retiring from the Navy Reserve in the rank of Captain.
Russ was elected Mayor of the City of Altamonte Springs, Florida in 1999, following 10 years as a City Commissioner. He was re-elected to a third three-year term in 2005. He represents Altamonte Springs as a member of the Board of Directors of the Orlando Area Metropolitan Planning Organization, the regional transportation planning agency for Central Florida. From 2000- 2003, Russ served as Chairman of the Board of the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority, the mass transit agency serving Orange, Seminole, and Osceola Counties. He is also past president and a board member of Lighthouse Central Florida, a charitable organization providing rehabilitation, training, and other support services to the blind and visually impaired. Russ has been married to Barbara Hauck for 37 years and they have three children and two grandchildren.

Thaddeus Seymour
Board Member
Thaddeus Seymour is Professor Emeritus of English at Rollins College, where he was its twelfth president. Previously he was president of Wabash College in Indiana and Dean of the College at Dartmouth in New Hampshire.
Chairman of the local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity, Seymour served nine years on the Board of the Winter Park Public Library, which he chaired from 1996-98. He served on the Board of the Winter Park Health Foundation and chaired its Committee for Older Adults for five years. Other board service includes ten years as Chairman of B.E.T.A., a service for helping women and children, and Chairman of the Community Advisory Committee for the Zora Neale Hurston Festival.
In 1997 he and his wife Polly were recognized by the Chamber of Commerce as Winter Park Citizens of the Year. The Seymours have five children and eleven grandchildren.
Judy Thames

Judy Thames is the President of AARP, Florida, and the former CEO and Executive Director of the Senior Resource Alliance (the Area Agency on Aging of Central Florida). Her many honors include being named by the Orlando Women's Executive Council as one of Downtown's Five Outstanding Women. She received the Mayor’s Award for Senior Advocacy, City of Orlando, and the Outstanding Partners Award from the Department of Elder Affairs. Judy has a great interest in trying to improve long-term, community-based service systems which keep older people independent and productive in their community for as long as possible.
